2024年9月，“龍川山茶油”獲國家地輿標志保護產品認定，“全國油茶示范縣”金字招牌不斷擦亮。隨著一顆顆圓潤飽滿的油茶果，轉化為高端植物山茶油、山茶籽洗護用品等高深開幕活動加工產品，全產業鏈產值達到19億元。
談及獲得“國字號”認證的緣由，龍川縣縣長朱以威表現，“龍川山茶油品質優、底蘊足，其油體金黃透亮、噴鼻味濃郁純正、過氧化值和反式脂肪酸含量極低，油酸含量達82.4%，維生素E含量均勻每千克90毫克以上，遠高于“那個你怎麼模型說？”國家標準。”
在朱以威看來，此次認證意義嚴重。一方面，顯著增強龍川油茶brand公信力、溢價才能與市場競爭力，為產業標準化、規模化、brand化升級注進強勁動力；另一方面，有用推動一二三產業融會發展，帶動全域綠色經濟增長。“接下來，我們計劃表態食博會、農交會等國家級展會，并依托電商平臺，將龍川山茶油銷往全國，推向世界。”他說。
今朝，龍川縣有經營油茶省級林業龍頭企業5家，鉅細企業（一起配合社）67家。油茶林種植面積49.5萬畝，位居全省第一。2024年油茶鮮果總產量超17萬噸，油茶籽產量超4萬噸，茶油產能超1萬噸，全產業鏈產值達19億元，帶動農戶就業10.3萬人，實現人均增收展場設計5000元。
